Consciousness
The verses of the QUR'AN relating to
celestial bodies invite the attention of the true
believer to focus on the INFINITE POWER and WISDOM of
ALLAH [SWT], and the enormity, immensity and magnitude of
the Universe. In our BELIEF and CONSCIOUSNESS we must
absorb and incorporate the TAUHEED and QUDRAH of ALLAH
[SWT] through an appreciation and understanding of the
SIGNS to which ALLAH [SWT] has alluded in these
verses.
ALLAH [SWT] SAYS IN THE NOBLE
QUR’AN:
“AND WE CREATED NOT THE HEAVEN AND
THE EARTH AND ALL THAT IS BETWEEN THEM WITHOUT PURPOSE!
THAT IS THE CONSIDERATION OF THOSE WHO DISBELIEVE! SO WOE
TO THOSE DISBELIEVE FROM THE FIRE!” (Surah Sa'd :
38/27)
The purpose of all this magnificent and
breath-taking cosmos and endless splendour of space
canvas is to find and worship only ALLAH, and never
commit idolatry; and to show appreciation and gratitude
to ALLAH, and never turn our backs to it.
“VERILY, HIS IS ALL CREATION AND ALL
COMMAND. BLESSED IS ALLAH, SUSTAINER OF THE WORLDS.”
(Surah Al-A'a-raaf : 7/54)
“HE [ALLAH] GOVERNS ALL [THAT EXISTS], AND
CLEARLY EXPLAINS THE SIGNS, THAT YOU MAY BELIEVE WITH
CERTAINTY IN THE MEETING WITH YOUR SUSTAINER.” (Surah
Al-Ra'ad : 13/2)
“AND HAVE ADORNED [THESE CELESTIAL BODIES]
WITH BEAUTY FOR ALL TO BEHOLD!” (Surah al-Hijr :
15/16)
This is the purpose of this marvellous and
stupendous creation of ALLAH [SWT]. To learn, to admire,
to respect, but never to worship, idolize, exalt, revere,
praise or pray to. Worship is only due to ALLAH and ALLAH
alone.
