When passing by a fellow believer or
meeting someone addressing him firstly with the greeting
of Islam 'As salamualaykum warahmatulahi wabarakatuh'.
For it is narrated in a prophetic tradition "The person
who initiates the Salaam is free from pride "it is also
narrated "spread salaam amongst one another"
Along your way in pursuit of your business
if you are unfortunately confronted by a disputer you
don't argue with him getting into a bitter quarrel or
exploit each other's vulnerability by getting into a
brawl but he wards him away saying salaam "its not in my
temperament to argue."
"And when the foolish (ignorant) address
them (abusively) they reply back with mild words of
gentleness"
When it is time to spend he goes about it
moderately. "And those who, when they spend, are neither
extravagant nor niggardly (miserly), but hold a medium
way between the two extremes. "
It appears in another verse of the
Qur'an:
"Verily the spendthrifts are brothers of
the devils and the devil was ungrateful to his Lord.
"Allah also says,
"And let not your hand be tied (like a
miser) to your neck, nor stretch it forth to its utmost
reach (like a spendthrift) so that you become blameworthy
and in severe poverty."
They spend their entire time with faith and
full conviction in Allah but also remain with hope in
Allah s Mercy and in fear of His punishment, therefore
constantly supplicating these words:
"Our Lord! Avert from us the torment of
Hell, verily its torment is ever an inseparable,
permanent punishment."
Throughout their day of chaos and
congestion they will not forget the rights of others over
them and when dealing in business if they are not busy in
their occupation they will indulge in idol and baseless
pursuits:
"And those who do not bear witness to
falsehood (failing to fulfil other rights, neglecting
rights, conning, cheating etc.) and if they pass by some
evil play or evil talk, they pass by it with dignity
(saving their self-respect)."
If someone advises them they will take heed
from it and try to rectify any error found within them,
and ponder over whatever has been said to him:
When they are reminded of the Ayat (verses,
signs, revelation) of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind
thereat. But have ears that retain what they hear and
hearts that tremble out of awe for His Majesty.
"
After a long, hard day full of activities
he retires thanking his Lord and commits some quality
time to his Lord in the portion of the night to express
his utmost gratitude upon His innumerable favours,
bounties and blessings. He seeks forgiveness for the
shortcomings in fulfilling the rights of the Creator
created and in interacting with them:
"And those who spend the night in worship
of their Lord, prostate and standing. "
When they have finally settled and
concluded regarding themselves and their Lord and the
people they concern themselves and focus their worries
and thoughts with regards to the future progeny's
supplicating:
"Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and
our offspring the comfort of our eyes, and make us
leaders of the Muttaqin (pious). "
