Dear Brothers and
Sisters in ISLAM,
In
what started as an audio tape library back in 1996 for the
benefit of local mussalees in the area. We had a lot of response
locally, but with todays technology it was difficult to stay in
touch. We have now concluded that it is time for us to
share this with the Muslim Ummah through the internet, where
they can gain the benefit with strengthening their Imaan from
reading all about Islam and listening to the lectures by prominent
Ulemas across the globe.
We assure all
Muslim Ummah that every effort has been made to provide lectures in
different fields and subjects that a person comes across in
everyday life and is not sure what to do.
We are thankful
to all who have contributed to this cause to allow us to reproduce
their work free of any legal rights which will help their fellow
Muslims...
We pray that
those who have gained benefit from our site may Allah (SWT) bless
our efforts and accept our Dua's. May Allah (SWT) make our task
easy for us, have mercy on us, forgive us and grant us all the
highest abode in 'JANNAH' - AMEEN
"In this day and age a
vast amount of information is available at your fingertips on all
sorts of topics, it is important that those seeking knowledge
should do so with an open mind, preconceptions can sometimes make
you miss the obvious and lose out on that which is beneficial.
Approach this with honesty and amaze yourself at how logical it is
for faith and reason to come together..."
What do
you know?
Why is
ISLAMIC knowledge so important? - We always hear people saying that
knowing things is an essential part of our lives. The importance of
knowledge ("ILLM") is given great emphasis in
ISLAM.
Why? -
The simple reason is this: that if we do not
have knowledge, how are we supposed to practice the Sunnah of
our Prophet (S.A.W.) and improve our Imaan (faith and
beleif in ALLAH - PROPHETS - ANGELS etc...). We need
knowledge so that we can follow the straight path in
all aspects of our lives. For example there is a clear
difference between someone who knows the appropriate Du'as
for certain situations and someone who does
not.
By invoking ALLAH's (SWT) name and assistance at all
times, we bring ourselves closer to him and are collecting
rewards at the same time. But if we do not have the necessary
knowledge for certain situations we are missing out on invaluable
reward.
The following Ayaat's from the Qur'aan regarding the
Importance of knowledge:
"ALLAH will exalt in rank - those from among
you who believe and those upon whom knowledge has been bestowed." -
Surah 58 Al - Mujaadalah Ayah 11.
"It is only his learned servants who fear ALLAH"
- Surah 35 Faatir Ayah 28.
The above Ayaat's of the Qur'aan are enough evidence
to show that there is great value in knowledge. So now each of us
must make the effort to improve our knowledge in any way
possible. We make a habit not only of reading the Qur'an regularly
but also of reading Islamic books and listening to the material
available on the Internet in either cassette - Cd 's - mP3 or
whatever to improve our awareness of ALLAH (SWT) -
and knowledge of the history of
ISLAM.
"ALLAH (SWT) makes the path to Paradise easy for
him who treads the path in search of knowledge - And a believer is
never satisfied with acquiring knowledge until he
reaches Paradise."
"MAY ALLAH (SWT) MAKE US ALL FIRM AND
KNOWLEDGEABLE MUSLIMS... " - Ameen.
